About The Artist,
Marguerite, commonly known as "Margy" has been painting for over 30+ Years.
When growing up in the 40's 50's and up, Margy always noticed how her mother expressed her opinions to be inclusive of all skin colors, how she did not shy away from her truth, and how she used her time to help create a positive impact in this world.
Something powerful must have stuck with Margy after growing up as she wanted to make a difference to. She has devoted 30+ years of her life to teaching students in Anacostia how to paint, and even traveled over seas to countries like Jerusalem to teach art as well.
Her most recent project has been to make a bible. A bible that will hold many of her illustrations from over the years, to Help share the word of God through her art.
